The Council's local land charges section is based at the Crowborough office and is responsible for the maintenance of the Land Charges Register together with processing local authority searches of the Register.
Details of Search Fees applicable from 1st April 2010 and, where applicable, how they have been calculated.
A Land Charges search is made up of various parts. Searches can be submitted via 3 methods, or can take the form of a personal search.
An information schedule for personal search companies is available providing details on how to locate information contained on the CON 29 Forms.
Home Information Packs have been suspended.(HIPs)
The Government has announced the suspension of Home Information Packs with immediate effect from 21 May 2010.
National Land Information Service (NLIS)
This is a system for submitting and receiving search enquiries electronically.
Currently the Council is taking between 3 and 4 working days to complete searches.
