CROWN Caddy Recycling

This recycling service has been in operation since the middle of 2007. The scheme is similar to the existing CROWN service in terms of the collection frequency and the materials collected but differs in its use of vehicles and containers. Wealden is phasing in replacements to our fleet of collection vehicles with specially designed "twin pack" vehicles, which means two materials can be collected from each household each week and be stored separately within the same vehicle. This has significant advantages in terms of both the environmental and financial costs of transport.
