Housing Needs Survey 2009 carried out during the summer of 2009 by Fordham Research has now been finalised and provides information at a District level as well as information at a parish/town level.

The Brighton Housing Trust Eastbourne - is branching out from Eastbourne and moving into Wealden. They will be operating half day sessions on alternate weeks at the Citizen Advice Bureaux in Hailsham and Uckfield.

- From April 1st 2009 the Gas Safe Register replaces the CORGI gas registration scheme as the official gas safety body.

A Worklessness Group has recently been set up which includes representatives from the Council's Housing, Benefits and Regeneration Sections, JobCentre Plus, Federation of Small Businesses, Registered Social Landlords and Action in Rural Sussex.
